BP Migas is one of Upstream Oil and Gas Executive Agency function as State Owned Legal Entity (BHMN) established under Law no. 22/2001 on Oil and Gas and Government Regulation no. 42/2002 on the Executive Agency for Upstream Oil and Gas.
As mandated by the law, BPMIGAS main function is to oversee and control the business activities of the upstream oil and gas in accordance with the Cooperation Contract, for extraction of natural resources of oil and gas provide the maximum benefits and revenue for the State and for the sake of prosperity as possible for people of Indonesia.
