Currently they are looking for a Lead Cost Engineer to join their project team in fabrication yard in Batam, Indonesia for a major gas project as :
Lead Cost Engineer,
Responsibilities include :
• Overview, monitor and analysis of the Fabrication Contractor’s cost performance
• Generate and analysis of monthly Commitment, VOWD, FFC cash phasing data and report for the Fabrication Contractor and the Owners site management team
• Work with the site Contractor team and QS personnel to ensure that forecasts are accurate, invoices are checked and approved on a timely basis and that site instructions, PDNs and claims are handled and processed in line with project procedures
• Generate and manage the site cost trend documentation and register
• Facilitate cost control of the site management team costs by providing accurate and visible cost related data to the Site Manager and Project Controls Manager
• Involve in project risk analysis exercises and regular risk review meetings
• Review and approve contractor’s cost control and management of change procedures
• Set up and maintain Project Change Control System to record and agree changes to budgets
To secure this role successful, you will be a Degree holder with 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry. You will possess strong supervision and communication skills and be able to interface with teams of Cost, Planning, Contract and QS on site. In addition, you will provide cost related input and support to the fabrication management team based in Singapore. Your prior experience in LNG construction/ fabrication or Asian fabrication yards is mandatory. Your knowledge in PCMS and CMS is desirable.
This is a project based role that requires immediate start or short notice. The contract is expected to end in August 2012. Attractive remuneration and working conditions with a leading company in their field will be offered to the right candidate.
